Report & Comments:
A cost plan breakdown for the proposed project has been formulated and attached. The plan is based on measurements taken from the allocated drawings, with figures applied and altered to suit the specification of the client’s brief. Please note that the figures are best suited to our definition of the client brief. As many details of the proposed project are currently unclear, many trade and preliminary figures may be subject to change.

Most figures were generated from a combination of standard building references such as Rawlinsons, as well as the experience and reason of our project team.

Each trade figure has been formulated and tailored to best suit the demands the client’s brief may have on the proposed construction. Significant costs have been allocated to allow for the extensive computer laboratories that are required to facilitate modern university classes. Such considerations of how the client’s desired design would change construction costs resulted in the increase of trade rates. In particular, services (mechanical and electrical) to cope with the technology required to form a modern, dynamic university classroom or laboratory.

The overall cost allowed us to gain a greater understanding of the time and risk that would be associated with the project. A estimate construction programme, as well as a risk assessment report, have also been attached.
